Meta Group brings in analysts for major conference

METAmorphosis Plus Conference will tackle the people, process, platforms and performance headaches of building an integrated application environment.

The challenge of building an integrated application environment, has been giving IT managers headaches for years. Constructing a tight knit application environment has often proven risky, time consuming and expensive.To address the mounting integration issues facing local companies, analyst house, Meta Group is bringing a host of its experts to Dubai at the end of September for a two day conference. METAmorphosis Plus Conference & Technology Showcase will tackle the people, process, platforms and performance headaches of delivering an integrated application environment.“Many companies successfully executed on last year’s METAmorphosis theme by leveraging IT portfolio management to strategically prioritise projects and reduce costs through asset management,” says Zaim Azrak, general manager Meta Group Middle East.“This year, we will examine the full spectrum of integration challenges — business processes, information, applications, infrastructure, people, and culture — and address how companies need to integrate all aspects of their portfolio to drive both business and IT performance,” he adds. The conference will feature a number of one hour breakout sessions, chaired by Meta Group analysts. The sessions will provide ‘best practice’ advice on some of the most challenging areas facing IT and business managers. The sessions will cover a variety of topics including web services, risk management and security, and infrastructure, to IT portfolio management, performance management, and outsourcing.“METAmorphosis delivers on our mission to help our clients more efficiently and effectively deploy technology to meet their business goals,” says Azrak. “The sessions were carefully chosen to help attendees customise the conference agenda to best match their needs and get the most value out of the conference,” he adds.The conference will run from September 29th, to the 30th at the Al Bustan Rotana Hotel in Dubai.
