Metro contract for Al Hamad

Al Hamad Industries has won a contract for the design, supply, testing and commissioning of lv panel boards for the Dubai Metro.

Al Hamad Industries has won a contract for the design, supply, testing and commissioning of lv panel boards for the Dubai Metro.

Phase one of the contract with ETA-SET is scheduled for completion by December 2008. This will involve the supply and commissioning of lv panel boards to 27 stations. The total scope of works is due to complete before June 2009.

Al Hamad has announced expansion plans to meet the demands of the UAE and international markets. The firm plans to build new manufacturing facility on a 40,000m2 area in Abu Dhabi's ICAD-2. This will enable the production of electrical enclosures, sub-station housings and control ad form IV enclosures.

Both lv and mv products will be produced and testing facilities will be offered. Construction is due to begin by June 2008, with production due to start in mid-2009.
