Microsoft Arabia rolls-out first Arabic Web site

Microsoft Arabia has unveiled a fully Arabised Web site that will keep customers up-to-date on corporate and local news and information.

Microsoft Arabia , the company's Saudi Arabian subsidiary, has unvelied Microsoft's first Arabic Web site. Until now, visitors to www.microsoft.com/middleeast gained access to an English-only site.The Saudi Arabian office of the global software giant has taken on the task of translating all the information from Microsoft's corporate Web site into Arabic, as well as providing regularly updated local news."What we have produced is just the start and we will be adding information to the site continuously," explained Taher Al-Dabbagh, marketing manager for Microsoft Arabia. "It is important to communicate about information technology in Arabic ... Doing so will encourage IT professionals to develop Arabic software and spread innovations in this field throughout the Arab world," he added.
