Microsoft moves to new premises in Oman

Microsoft announces move to new Knowledge Oasis Muscat office to house expanding presence in the Sultanate.

Microsoft Oman has relocated to new premises at Knowledge Oasis Muscat (KOM).

The software giant, which has had an office in Oman since 2001, said the move was necessary to accommodate its expansion plans in the country.

"The planned growth rate over the coming five years for Microsoft Oman necessitates the move to a larger space within which to operate," Microsoft Gulf general manager Charbel Fakhoury stated.

KOM is a technology park located 30 kilometres from Muscat. Other IT tenants at KOM include Huawei, Oracle and Oman Mobile.
