Getmo Middle East has partnered with consumer electronics titan Samsung. The partnership enables consumers that buy Samsung phones to access the web portal.

"As the leading digital entertainment service in the Middle East region, our collaboration with GETMO Arabia means we can offer a huge range of fantastic music from both international and local artists," explains Vinod Nair, general manager of Samsung's Middle East and Africa mobile phone division.

"It's great to be on board as we move forward with bringing our customers in the Middle East the ultimate mobile music experience."

GETMO is a multi-platform all-in-one digital entertainment service that allows subscribers to download songs, music videos ringtones, video tones and more.

The service currently has archives that include content from Sony Music Entertainment, Universal Music, Mazzika, Melody Music and Hungama. All of the site's content is digital rights management (DRM) copy protected.

Claudius Boller, GETMO's vice president of business development, is convinced that the partnership has come at exactly the right time. "Until now, the Middle East has been lacking in a service that provides music and entertainment and the opportunity to bundle with products or services.

We are happy to partner with Samsung whose great mobile phones work perfectly with GETMO," explains Boller.
