Hexoskin biometric vest allows a person to measure and monitor their EKG, calorie intake, activity level, number of steps, and more
A new vest that measures personal health information like heart rate, breathing rate, and sleep activity has been launched in the Middle East.
The firm Hexoskin launched its “biometrics” vest for both adults and children.
The firm specialises in health sensors that record and organise personal health information in order to make it accessible and useful to individuals.
CEO and co-founder of Hexoskin, Pierre-Alexandre Fournier said of the launch, "Hexoskin's presence in Dubai is strategic. Dubai is the most connected city in the Middle East, it's the perfect place to make Hexoskin smart clothing available to a passionate clientele with the highest standards.”
In addition to the latter, the biometric vest allows a person to measure and monitor their electrocardiogram (EKG), calorie intake, activity level, number of steps, and more.
The vest can also connect to iOS and Android devices by Bluetooth.
According to the firm, its technology is used by professional athletes, space agencies, health enthusiast, and military organisations around the world.
Its vests will be available at Adventure HQ and Virgin Megastore across the region starting May 2015.
While adult sizes will sell at AED1900 ($517), children’s will sell at AED1800.
