Mindware is showcasing the latest solutions from international brands such as Intel, Microsoft and Cheetah Systems at GITEX Technology Week.

The company, a leading distributor of technology products in the Middle East, is hoping to boost its customer base at the event and leverage its position in the United Arab Emirates' ICT sector, which is expected to reach US$2.4 billion by 2011.

"In our consistent annual participation at GITEX, we have come to recognise its importance in the regional IT market as the definitive event that successfully gathers the movers and shakers of this booming industry," says Nada Haddad, marketing manager, Mindware.

"Last year, our presence helped us promote and increase awareness of our products, solutions and brand among the media and IT communities, as well as boost the sales of our various products and solutions. Through our stronger visibility this year, we are aiming to leverage the advantageous business environment to meet potential and existing partners and end-users and build relations by providing their required support."

Mindware officials have revealed that the company's stronger presence at GITEX this year is part of a wider strategy to achieve 20% business growth in 2008.

Fuelled by these goals, it's GITEX participation will also focus on informing the channel about its value added distribution, from pre-sales consultants to marketing and PR coverage for the region, to implementation of services and technical support.

These wide-ranging value added distribution services, together with its regional distribution strategy, has been recognised by various global IT companies, including Symantec, which awarded Mindware three performance awards this year.

"As an organisation fully committed to the advancement of the regional IT market, we are expecting our growing portfolio of products, customer-focused distribution strategies and IT infrastructure to further drive our reputation in the region," says Haddad. "We continue to view GITEX as an important part of our marketing and networking activities."
