Mindware's growth plans

Mindware, the major Dubai-based distribution house, has ambitious growth plans for the coming year, and Gitex 2006 forms a major part of its strategy to promote its cutting-edge range of networking and infrastructure products.

The firm’s list of vendors is impressive, including Intel for networking and server products, Novell, IBM servers, Adic, Veritas and EMC. Mindware has a network of 4,500 resellers throughout the Middle East, and also boasts a logistics centre at Dubai Airport Cargo Village, something no other IT company has, according to the distributor.

“We represent the biggest vendors in the Middle East, and Gitex brings together customers from the entire region, making it a good platform to meet both existing and potential customers,” says Jacques Chammas, managing director of distributor Mindware.

“Gitex helps in lead generation, in creating awareness and also to gain new customers and drive sales. Participating in Gitex is part of our yearly marketing plan and we see this as an opportunity to update the market on the products we are representing.”

Mindware has plans to expand its revenues by 20% this year, as well as increasing its margins. With the Middle East currently experiencing double-digit growth rates, the company should be well placed to succeed in its ambitious plans.
