Mindware held a training session last week for reseller sales personnel, to promote Veritas new BackupExec 9.0
Mindware recently held a sales training programme as part of the drive to promote Veritas BackupExec 9.0 product in the Middle East. The training session, held last week, was intended to help reseller sales staff to sell the latest version of Veritas’ BackupExec product, which is aimed at the SMB market.“As part of our commitment to the channel, we have launched the Veritas Certification Programme,” explained Neal Watkins, Veritas senior solutions marketing manager. “This programme enables channel partners to prove they have a superior level of understanding of Veritas storage management solutions. Customers also benefit from the programme since they can now determine which partners have been fully trained and officially certified on Veritas solutions.”The launch of BackupExec 9.0 is also being supported by a number of promotional schemes for resellers. Veritas is already a market leader in Windows backup and recovery software, with a 56% market share, but with the new version the software vendor is looking to improve its position, especially in the small to medium business segment.“Companies and corporations in the Middle East are carefully watching IT spending levels in order to assure the highest performance for current data storage resources,” said Greesh Satnani, Mindware product manager. “The introduction of BackupExec 9.0 offers a simple and effective package that users cannot deny.
