Alcatel-Lucent announced today that the company has signed a three-year contract with Saudi mobile operator Mobily to provide managed services for Mobily’s multi-vendor mobile network.

The result on the network is expected to be increased efficiency and reduced running costs that will allow it to meet the growing demand of Saudi Arabia’s mobile customers.
Khaled Al Kaf, CEO of Mobily, said: "To consistently and reliably meet our customers' expectations, it is imperative for us to ensure a high level of network availability and performance but at the same time we need to minimize our operating costs, for this reason we have selected Alcatel-Lucent for its services capabilities."
Alcatel-Lucent claim to be the world’s most experienced and knowledgeable telecom services partner, supporting 30 service providers in over 130 countries.
"Alcatel-Lucent's global experience gives us the confidence that it has the skills and expertise we need to help us achieve these objectives,” added Al Kaf.
Vincenzo Nesci, Alcatel-Lucent's president of business in the Middle East and Africa, said: "With our strong local presence, project management organization and our modern wireless technology, we are confident that we will be able to meet Mobily's expectations."For all the latest tech news from the UAE and Gulf countries, follow us on Twitter and Linkedin, like us on Facebook and subscribe to our YouTube page, which is updated daily.
