McAfee, the global provider of security technology, has completed implementation of its Enterprise Security Risk Management (SRM) solution in Mobinil, one of the largest mobile service providers in Egypt. The solution has been integrated with numerous other solutions from McAfee, to analyse and manage security risks within Mobinil’s central IT network system.
The McAfee ‘Foundstone’ Security Risk Management solution helps Mobinil to identify, prioritise, remediate and fix imperative security issues. While the Mobinil headquarters saw security issues reduced significantly with the solution, the sub-regional and remote offices were brought upto desired security levels as well.
The solution also helps Mobinil with its remediation and protection priorities. Based on systematic assessments, the company will be upto speed with an overall risk rating as to how vulnerable or secure they are. The solution also provides automated action such that the company is back on the acceptable security level soon.
“McAfee’s Risk Management solution is essential to our current IT security. The Foundstone solution has worked with the existing McAfee security products we had in place to ensure the highest protection for our business,” explains Hesham Rashed, Senior Manager IT Operations, Mobinil.
“The centralised management and automation in the various modules within Foundstone were key factors to the success of the whole project. Our overall decision was based on the best ROI and TCO, in addition to outstanding support services from a highly qualified technical team.”
"We are proud to be partnered with one of the most reputable GSM service operators in the region. With the addition of our Security Risk Management solution to their existing platforms, Mobinil can easily identify and eliminate security threats, which means their infrastructure will remain protected with the most up-to-date security technology going into the future,” explains Asem Galal, GM for McAfee UAE, Qatar, Egypt, Kuwait and MEEM.
