Chiller manufacturer LS has won a contract to provide centrifugal chillers to the Motor City development in Dubai.
In the firm's largest contract in the Middle East to date, 32 of the firm's 2,500TR will be supplied to the project through its local distributor District Cooling Company.
The first chillers are due to be delivered to site in the first quarter of 2008.
"The remainder will be delivered in phases during 2008 depending on the project scheduling," said Samer Alawiah, senior sales manager, District Cooling Company.
LS and District Cooling Company joined forces at this year's Big 5 exhibition for the first time.
The firms are exhibiting the LS range of centrifugal, absorption and screw chillers, with LS's larger stand presence this year signalling an expansion in the region.
The firm is planning to launch its air cooled screw chillers to the Middle East market in the first quarter of next year.
All products are available in the UAE through District Cooling Company under a distributor partnership that was signed in Q1 2007.For all the latest construction news from the UAE and Gulf countries, follow us on Twitter and Linkedin, like us on Facebook and subscribe to our YouTube page, which is updated daily.
