MRO Software, the vendor of asset management solutions, has enhanced Maximo 5, its flagship software by adding two new features - the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) and the Dashboard manager.
MRO Software, the vendor of asset management solutions, has announced the enhancement of Maximo version 5, its flagship software, by adding two new features - the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) and the Dashboard performance management capabilities.
The new Dashboard and the KPI Manager are designed to give users improved access to personalised and highly relevant metrics to measure asset performance at a glance says MRO. The added functionality is available to all Maximo 5.2 customers at no additional cost. MRO’s asset management solutions allow customers to manage the complete lifecycle of strategic assets including: planning, procurement, deployment, tracking, maintenance and retirement.
“The two new features widen the range of reporting and display options available in Maximo 5, making it the most powerful asset management solutions available today,” says Oliver Schulz, sales and marketing manager, eSolutions trading as MRO Software Middle East.
Dashboard’s are typically colored graphical presentation of a project’s status or a portfolio’s status by project resembling a vehicle’s dashboard, for instance red is used to flag urgent problems, yellow to flag impending problems, and green to signal on projects on track. The name refers to the fact that it can sometimes look like the dashboard of a car. Also known as cockpits or scorecards, MRO’s dashboard allows users at any level of the organisation to select the layout and content in their display.
Users can also monitor key business metrics, set and monitor operational goals, access real-time information, allowing users to respond quickly to potential problems or opportunities.Dashboard contents are specified by the user, displayed in a variety of formats including dynamic graphs, gauges and lists, which require minimal technical skills to configure.
Maximo KPI Manager includes pre-defined KPIs such as Mean Time to Fail, Actual-to-Plan Variance, and Preventive Maintenance (PM) Work Orders Overdue. Custom KPIs can be created at all levels to align their daily metrics with organisational goals. Users create the KPIs to monitor and view, in graphical form from the Maximo Dashboard.
