Nairn's offers wheat-free alternatives

Consumers with wheat allergies will welcome the addition of Scottish biscuit company Nairn’s range of wheat free biscuits to the region.

Consumers with wheat allergies will welcome the addition of Scottish biscuit company Nairn’s range of wheat free biscuits to the region. The biscuits arrive in three flavours, Stem Ginger, Fruit and Spice and Mixed Berries, all made with natural ingredients and no hydrogenated fats.

Primarily the biscuits cater for allergy sufferers, but also to those looking to eat more healthily. All Nairn’s products have a very low GL index, which means they are low in carbohydrates that raise blood sugar levels and are difficult for the body to process.

As well as biscuits, Nairn’s also produces oatcakes, including rough, fine milled, organic, cheese and mini varieties. “Oats are a wholesome source of energy that leave you fulfilled for longer,” says the company.
