Dubai developer floats tender for main contract works to build a community retail centre within the Badrah area
Dubai master developer Nakheel has invited contractors to bid for the main contract to build a community retail centre within the Badrah area near the Jebel Ali waterfront.
The scope of works consists of the construction of 15 retail units and 10 food and beverage outlets as well as a ground floor supermarket.
The site will have a total area of 21,055 square metres with a built-up area of 6,889 sqm. Bids must be in by June 22, 2014.
The gateway to the Waterfront, Nakheel's 1.4bn sqft coastal development based on the shores of Dubai for an estimated 1.5m people, Badrah will contain four distinct areas, offering a mixture of residences, offices, educational and civic amenities, as well as retail and leisure elements, interspersed with large, open, green spaces.
The architecture of the 45,000 homes blends modern modular forms with traditional Arabic design and the overall development has been designed to enhance the overall community feel of the development.
