NBK offers WAP service

NBK has launched a new WAP-enabled banking service through which customers can access Watani Online on their mobile phones

Despite the recent criticisms of WAP technology, NBK has launched a WAP-enabled service that allows its customers to perform banking functions on their mobile phones. Using the latest WAP technology, customers can check balances, pay bills and transfer funds either in English or Arabic.“This new service does not require the customer to visit the branch,” said Adel Abdul Wahab Al Majed, general manager of Consumer Banking Group at NBK. “Customers will be able to perform the transactions from their mobile phones and they can get all the information at www.nbk.com NBK’s website.” The new service is an addition to other online services that NBK offers, including ‘NBK Online Brokerage’, which enables customers to trade US stocks on the Internet.
