NBKS gets into ERP gear

ICICI Infotech Middle East has announced that the Doha-based Nasser Bin Khaled & Sons Group, (NBKS) has selected ICICI’s Orion, an ERP suite to integrate their automobile division’s internal business processes and streamline communications for more than 270 employees in the first phase of implementation.

With Orion in place, NBKS expects to improve its supply chain and auto retail management capability both on the shop floor and in the workshop. “We were looking for a comprehensive ERP solution that could give us the capability to better monitor our costs, profitability and inventory levels more effectively and online. Orion met all our requirements,” says Ayman Al-Abbasi, group finance manager, NBKS Group.

The Orion@Auto solution which boasts of features such as ‘customise your car’ kiosks, SMS notifications to customers when a car servicing is due, has an extensive auto-suite of functionalities and comprises of three modules: the automobile sales management module, the service center and workshop management module and the Orion Collaborator, the customer, vendor and employee relationship management module.

“The growing demands of our business called for a proven and scalable solution that would integrate seamlessly with our systems, giving us a transparent overview of our Group’s operations. Orion provided us with all the above and more,” adds Wissam Iskandar, IT Manager, NBKS Group.

Orion will be implemented across all the companies of NBKS Group to cover its various 13 divisions and more than 1100 employees, in the second phase.
