New bridges opened ahead of Mirdiff mall launch

RTA announces AED184m project completed in 'record time'.

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has opened new bridges to and from Mirdiff City Center a day before the mall opens to the public.

One three-lane bridge links the mall to Emirates Road, while the other will serve inbound traffic from Tripoli Road, a statement by the RTA said.

“The bridges have been completed in a record time to coincide with the opening of Mirdiff City Center project,” said Mattar Al Tayer, RTA chairman and executive director.

The total cost of the bridges project was AED184m, and was paid by Majid Al Futtaim Co, the statement said.

Mirdiff City Center covers a total area of 196,000 sqm and will have 430 outlets.

Parking for more than 7,000 vehicles is also available over three levels.

Brand names, including the world famous toy store Hamley’s and US home furnishings giant Pottery Barn.
