Shopping mall operator Majid Al Futtaim opened its sixth City Centre mall in the UAE on Tuesday, saying it expected the City Centre Me'aisem to attract four million visitors in its first year.
Named for its location in the Me'aisem area of International Media Production Zone (IMPZ) in Dubai, Majid Al Futtaim said it has invested $75 million in the mall which features more than 50 retail outlets including the UAE's 22nd Carrefour hypermarket and the 19th Magic Planet in the Middle East.
It also features a range of fashion and lifestyle brands such as Centrepoint, H&M, Max and Sun & Sand Sports, and Patchi.
Some brands will also be making their debut in the UAE like 800 Degrees Neapolitan Pizzeria, Cath Kidston and GRK Fresh Greek, a statement said.
City Centre Me'aisem also offers a line-up of casual dining options and cafes that feature outdoor landscaped seating areas, as well as various service providers including banking, beauty salons, fitness and a mobile operator.
The new mall will also be home to Majid Al Futtaim's second City Centre Clinic in Dubai.
"City Centre Me'aisem will offer a quick, accessible and personal retail experience, meeting the needs of the increasing urbanisation, and consumers' changing notion of convenience," said Maryam Ahli, mall manager of City Centre Me'aisem for Majid Al Futtaim - Properties.
City Centre Me'aisem is built on 325,000 square feet, comprising 23,850 square metres of gross leasable area. For all the latest retail news from the UAE and Gulf countries, follow us on Twitter and Linkedin, like us on Facebook and subscribe to our YouTube page, which is updated daily.
