A series of networking breakfast meetings to educate the SME sector on various business-important topics has been launched by Club Fit For Business and Creative Zone.
The series begins with an event analysing key UAE employment and corporate risk issues for businesses on Monday, 28 September, between 7.30am and 9am at the Capital Club, DIFC.
Club Fit For Business, a sports business community founded by Dubai-based businessman Liam Mooney, has partnered with CREATIVE ZONE, a business setup consultancy and solutions provider in the UAE, to offer the events to the emirate’s business community.
The debut meeting will feature three Pinsent Masons lawyers – senior associate Luke Tapp, partner and head of UAE litigation and compliance Damian Crosse, and senior associate in litigation and compliance Mahmoud Mostafa.
The session will discuss key areas of the employment relationship, cover legal considerations in relation to the recruitment, management and dismissal of employees, and also tackle local and international compliance issues.
Speaking about the upcoming workshop, Steve Mayne, managing partner of Creative Zone, said: "We are receiving calls and queries on a day to day basis from our clients regarding visas, employment contracts, and the risks the company is exposed to with this regard.
“Having a clear understanding of corporate practice and the law, as well as knowing you limitations as both an employer and an employee, can help you not only plan but also pre-empt any issues that may arise in the future."
