New F&B outlets unveiled for Al Habtoor City

Al Habtoor City will include Blind Dragon, ZOCO, The Rose & Crown and Dragone from Cirque du Soleil

New F&B outlets unveiled for Al Habtoor City

The first details of the line-up of restaurants and entertainment facilities coming to the banks of the Dubai Water Canal have been unveiled.

Already home to the St Regis - with the W and Westin to follow - Al Habtoor City has revealed it will bring international brands Blind Dragon and ZOCO to Dubai for the very first time.

These exciting openings will all be part of The Atrium, a five-storey complex housing seven restaurants and a residency from Dragone, water-based theatre show from one of the founding fathers of the iconic Cirque du Soleil.

The first openings are set for this summer, with more expected over the next 12 months. Once complete, the entire development will span 10 million square feet and feature 40 restaurants and many more retails and nightlife venues.

Reflecting on this first major announcement, Kamal Naamani from Habtoor Group, said: "Each of the new venues will have its own distinct personality. The mix of concepts has been carefully crafted to ensure that Al Habtoor City will offer an unforgettable experience that every visitor will enjoy, reflecting the brilliant mix of cuisines, cultures and nightlife that Dubai is renowned for."

According to Edgar magazine, the 1300-seater circular-based theatre will be centred around a pool with various diving boards and high wires. It has been designed by Paris-based Jean Rabasse and will be tall enough for performers to dive from up to 30 metres into a pool that will be 12 meters deep and hold two million litres of water. The Las Vegas-style aquatic show is curated by Franco Dragone, the mastermind behind shows such as The House of Dancing Water in Macau, La Reve in Las Vegas and Paris Merveilles.
