Mannia Corporation and Transfield Services join forces with joint venture.
Qatar based Mannai Corporation has set up a new joint venture company with Australian-based maintenance company Transfield Services.
The new company, Transfield Mannai Facilities Management Services (TMFMS), will take control of the assets, manpower and ongoing contracts of Mannai's building services and maintenance company Manwell Technical Services.
The move follows a pattern in Qatar for companies to outsource their facilities and assets management needs.
"This joint venture combines the extensive market presence of Mannai Corporation and the technical facilities management experience of Transfield Services to provide a fully integrated strategic facilities and asset management service to its client," said Neil Grasby, general manager of TMFMS.
"We have more than 100 clients across a wide range of industry sectors including the public and private sectors and we are excited about our growth prospects for 2007.
"We are specialists in providing our clients with a fully integrated facilities management service, ranging from the very basic to the complex management of maintenance schedules allowing our clients to focus on what they do best," Grasby added.
Transfield Services has more than 20,000 employees working across the world and operates in diverse industries such as water, power, public transport, defence and mining.
