Rohde & Schwarz has opened a new office for its radio communication division in Dubai. The move is set to improve the company's development of Tetra systems as demand increases for the digital trunked technology in the Middle East.
Rohde and Schwarz has opened a new office in Dubai to support its mobile radio communications division. From its new base in the Jebel Ali free-trade zone, R&S Bick Mobile Communication will offer intensified on-site support and service to its customers and partners in the Middle East.
The new office features workrooms for the integration of the latest Tetra systems along with comprehensive training and workshop facilities. The company has also beefed up staff numbers for project management, sales and service.
R&S Bick Mobile intend to capitalise on the current demand for digital trunked radio systems in the professional radio applications of police forces, fire fighters and ambulance services as well as public transport and major industrial enterprises.
Tetra systems have quickly grown to become the digital standard having been established as one of the leading technologies in the radio communications field. The worldwide market for digital trunked radio solutions has been estimated at being worth US$18.6 billion.
