INDIE, a new nightlife concept from Beirut, has launched in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).
Dubbed a kitchen and lounge, INDIE will include live music and performances, menu of tapas and foods “to drink with,” and three bars: a sake bar, a cocktail bar, and a fresh fruit bar.
INDIE was brought to Dubai by hospitality group AddMind, which is headed by CEO Tony Habre.
“We had much success with INDIE in Beirut and we’re excited to bring this concept to one of our favorite cities and give experience seekers a new thrill,” said Habre.
The venue’s name comes from the word “independence,” and represents its difference from other nightlife destinations in the city.
“We don’t like to put people and nightlife in neat little boxes. We merely recognise a need in the market and aim to fill the gap. INDIE is straightforwardly good food and drinks, non-mainstream music, comfy and an unfussy place you can just hang out in – something Dubai’s nightlife has missed,” added Habre.
As for INDIE’s design, it’s a mix of vintage décor with vibrant furniture.
The venue is open from 5:00pm to 2:00am, Saturday to Friday.
