The latest venture by the UAE founders of the New York pizza chain, The Pizza Guys, will introduce a new pizza concept to Dubai.
PI.DUBAI, a full-service pizza restaurant located on the lower ground floor of The Dubai Mall, will open its doors in time for Eid 2015.
Teaming up with an award-winning chef, Joe Truex, the entrepreneurial duo of Amber Haque and Rami Badawi, have composed a menu of dishes that will showcase fresh, organic seasonal vegetables, wild harvested seafood, and humanely raised antibiotic-free and hormone-free meats.
Haque underwent an intensive course at the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana (Association of True Neapolitan Pizza), which protects and promotes the original methods of traditional pizza making. Months of research and testing enabled the two to create their own artisan dough recipe for the venue.
Ingredients are sourced from various European markets, including Rungis in Paris, Australia and Canada, whilst poultry is carefully selected from a local UAE farm.
As a full service restaurant PI.DUBAI will cater to 88 diners inside and 54 on the terrace. It will also feature an indoor greenhouse and a 1,000 square meter outdoor terrace facing the Dubai Fountains.
