Residents and visitors to Dubai will now be able to complain about government services online, with the launch of the eComplain portal.

The service has been launched by the Dubai Executive Council, and covers six government departments, and is intended to provide a single portal for feedback on government services.

The Executive Council will have an oversight of all complaints lodged, in order to be able to monitor the quality of responsiveness among government departments

Ahmad Bin Byat, General Secretary of the Dubai Executive Council said: "The system will ensure complaints are resolved in a transparent manner within a seven-day period. A customer will also be able to track the resolving process through his or her account number and can receive alerts and updates on the progress of the complaint."

The new e-complaint system is able to register complaints related to Dubai Municipality, Dubai Naturalization and Residency Department (DNRD), the Road and Transport Authority (RTA), the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), Dubai Police and the Dubai Health Authority (DHA).

The service is accessible through http://www.ecomplain.ae/ or the main dubai government portal.
