New Saudi radio station launches in the UK
ON THE AIR: A new radio station dedicated to Saudi listeners has been set up in the UK.

A new radio station dedicated to Saudi listeners has been set up in the UK, according to a report on Monday.

‘Mobta3th Voice Radio’ is an FM radio station which will address the concerns, interests, activities and musical interests of Saudi students living in the UK, according to the Arab News.

The station, which will be broadcast live every Monday from 5pm to 6pm (GMT), has been set up by four students from Glasgow Caledonian University in Scotland.

“To begin with, the project did not cost us much and relying on the team’s media experience has helped a lot in saving money and time,” said Fawaz Al Reemi, a PhD candidate in inorganic chemistry and media manager of the new radio station.

The station went on the air on March 1 and proved popular, with over 200 messages from listeners during the first broadcast.

The radio station can be listened to online at www.mbtathradio.com.
