Emirates Living (Springs, Meadows, Lakes, Greens, The Views, and Hills) have the happiest Dubai residents, according to research by Servicemarket.com, which surveyed 2,000 residents in the emirate to find out where they are happiest.

The data, which comes in line with Dubai’s 2021 plan to become the world’s happiest city, rated each neighborhood on 19 different attributes including quality of facilities, sense of community, child-friendliness, greenery and availability of public transportation.

The five locations in Emirates Living scored an average rating of 4.16 out of a maximum of 5, largely due to their abundance of green spaces and amenities, giving residents a sense of community.

They were closely followed by JLT, Jumeirah Park and Jumeirah Heights, which rated 4 out of 5 due to the quality of apartments and access to restaurants.

Silicon Oasis was the third highest rated area, thanks to its spacious buildings, low rents and business hub aspect.

All locations were also rated in line with easy access to public transportation, restaurants and supermarkets.

The rest that followed include Jumeirah, Al Wasl, Umm Suqeim, Downtown, DIFC, Business Bay, Dubai Marina and Sufouh respectively.

Others included Discovery Gardens, Gardens, Furjaan, Al Qusais, Sports City, Motor City, Jumeirah Golf Estates, Mirdif, Mizhar and Al Warqa.

As for the lowest rates areas, which had poor scores due to traffic and proximity to schools and facilities, they included Satwa, Deira, Al Mamzar and International City, which feature older, lower quality apartments.

Last year, Motor City had the highest overall average rating. It remains high rated with a score of 4.27 on its own, though it was grouped with Sports City and Jumeirah Golf Estates for the purpose of this study.

Areas most suitable for families due to proximity of schools, sense of community and security included Emirates Living, Silicon Oasis, and Jumeirah. Areas rated for healthy lifestyles with facilities such as swimming pools and gyms also included Emirates Living as well as JLT, Jumeirah Park, Jumeirah Heights and Silicon Oasis.
