A delegation from Dubai Land Department attends inauguration of the road, which is part of Investment Group Overseas' The Gate
A small part of Texas in the United States will be forever linked to Dubai following the inauguration of Dubai Way in Frisco.
A delegation from Dubai Land Department (DLD) participated in the inauguration of the road, which is part of Investment Group Overseas’ (IGO) development The Gate.
Sultan Butti bin Mejren, director general of DLD, expressed his happiness in naming a Texan street Dubai, saying that the emirate proudly spreads its message of giving, peace, cooperation, and development all over the world.
Bin Mejren said: “Our presence today confirms the relations between DLD and real estate companies. IGO is an investment company seeking to capitalise on promising investment opportunities in the world, support economic development in the region, and is constantly looking for outstanding projects and strategic partnerships around the world.”
Rising on 40.95 acres of prime land, The Gate is a master-planned development that will cap the booming economic development in Frisco.
When completed, IGO said it will be a hub of opportunities for thousands that make The Gate their address of choice.
It will include office spaces, prime residences, a boutique hotel and retail spaces.
Majida Ali Rashid, CEO of the Real Estate Promotion and Investment Management Sector at DLD, added: “It is our great pleasure to be here at the Dubai Way inauguration ceremony in this magnificent city... and we thank IGO and Frisco for this wonderful opportunity.”
Dr Anas Kozbari, managing partner and CEO of IGO, said: “Dubai Way in Frisco is a landmark that celebrates the union of two of the most dynamic cities around the world, Frisco and Dubai.
"Frisco is a city with an agricultural history that came a long way from the farmland it once was. At one point, it had a population of around 3,000 people, no traffic lights, no industry, business, tourism, or sports sectors. Today, it has a population of over 180,000 people and rising. It is slowly becoming the investment hub of the southern part of the US.”
