No more free parking on the streets of Sharjah

Paid parking from 8am to 10pm except Friday

No more free parking on the streets of Sharjah
Sharjah

Sharjah Municipality will abolish the four-hour free midday parking from April 1.

Motorists were exempted from paying any parking charges between 1pm and 5pm, except Friday. The new timings will now be from 8am to 10pm.

The decision to remove the free parking period was taken last year in November. It followed a move by Dubai, which scrapped a similar free afternoon parking period in May 2016, extending parking hours from 8am until 10pm.
