Nokia has announced a new feature for its WAP Server 1.1. A new one-button solution will make WAP surfing simpler for service providers and consumers alike by allowing WAP sites to transmit service settings direct to the user.
The service, called Nokia Activ, will allow companies to offer services and information to WAP users in a straight forward manner. WAP users simply click on the Nokia Activ button on a site and the settings of the service are sent as a text message to the customer’s handset.
The Nokia WAP Server is one of the leading WAP servers for the corporate market, which contects WAP-enabled mobile handsets to content and services hosted by Web servers or any other Internet or Intranet server. The WAP Server 1.1 is also one of the most secure WAP servers on the market.
