Entry process closes and judging begins for first ever Channel Middle East awards
The first ever Channel Middle East Awards is proving to be a hotly contested affair after vendors and business partners from around the region submitted their entries ahead of last week's deadline.
More than 100 nominations have been sent to the Channel Middle East Awards team, emphasising the strength and influence of vendors, distributors, resellers and retailers in the regional IT market. Nominations have flooded in from companies all around the Middle East, including those located in prominent markets such as Abu Dhabi and Dubai, as well as key territories such as Saudi Arabia and Jordan.
Anticipation is now building as the countdown begins to the date next month when the winners of each category will be revealed at a gala dinner and awards ceremony attended by top vendor and channel executives.
Certain categories of the Channel Middle East Awards are already shaping up to be closely fought contests, with the finest details likely to make a difference in the eyes of the judges. The Enterprise Reseller of the Year award has attracted plenty of interest from the region's most powerful first-tier outfits, while the race for Retail Distributor of the Year has emerged as particularly fierce given the high number of quality entrants.
In the vendor section, meanwhile, the Networking Vendor of the Year award stands out as a category where the leading providers have all been working hard to develop their level of partner engagement. Whoever takes the accolade will clearly have demonstrated a commitment to channel growth that sets them apart from their peers.
Finalists for each category are now being selected and will be sent to the judging panel of industry experts ahead of what is guaranteed to be a memorable night for the Middle East channel at The Monarch Dubai on Wednesday 26th March.
