I read with alarm the news that this region could absorb some of the impact of Intel’s job cuts.
A market as young as the Middle East is particuarlyvulnerable to such cutbacks, which could put a serious spanner in the works for the development of the region’s IT industry.
Let's hope Intel sees sense and restricts its cull to the bigger and more established markets that can afford to lose staff such as Europe or the US. What hope is there that this region’s IT industry will ever compete with those giants otherwise?
