A new event focused on small and medium sized enterprises is due to launch in October.
The Arabian Entrepreneurship Festival (AEF), hosted by Thomson Reuters and Mediaquest, will take place in Dubai on 21-22 October, with the aim of supporting SMEs from across MENA by providing an opportunity to develop trade, find solutions for sustainable growth, promote their offerings, share ideas and celebrate success stories.
The festival will feature a series of panel debates and interactive workshops on a range of subjects including managing cashflow, financing options, finding and retaining talent, marketing on a budget, and how to sharpen pitching skills.
An awards ceremony will also take place to recognise successes within the SME community.
Nadim Najjar, managing director Middle East, Africa and Russia / CIS at Thomson Reuters, said: “We are committed to supporting Government strategy throughout the Middle East and North Africa in promoting and developing a thriving entrepreneurial community by acknowledging the importance of entrepreneurism for economic growth, innovation, employment and investment.
“This region has strong socio-economic development plans for the SME segment to expand, diversify and encourage competitiveness.
“The AEF is designed to provide this vital community with the support needed to promote their business, connect with stakeholders as well as access the services and information needed to develop to its full potential.”For all the latest business news from the UAE and Gulf countries, follow us on Twitter and Linkedin, like us on Facebook and subscribe to our YouTube page, which is updated daily.
