An oil painting of former Qatari Emir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, was auctioned for roughly $275,000 (QR 1 million) in Qatar.
The artwork was exhibited during the inauguration of Tarteeb company.
The buyer of the painting, Saeed Al Marri, said the artwork of the Prince is “priceless.”
He told Doha-based newspaper Al-Sharq that he decided to take part in the auction to obtain the “precious” artwork at any cost.
