Oman confirms fourth case of swine flu

Sultanate's health chiefs say British man arriving from the UK is being treated for H1N1 virus.

Oman has confirmed its fourth case of swine flu after a British national was discovered with the virus, the H1N1 Follow Up & Management Committee announced.

The British national had arrived in the Sultanate from the United Kingdom showing some symptoms and further investigations showed he was positive for swine flu.

The patient was isolated at his home and he was provided with medication. His health condition and his family members are being closely followed up, the committee added.

This was the fourth case to be recorded in the Sultanate following the cases of three Omani students who have all made a full recovery, Oman News Agency reported.
