Oman reveals Salalah tourism figures for Eid

A total of 19,833 people visited the Omani province between Sept 10-17.

The latest Salalah tourism survey has revealed that 19,833 people visited the Omani province during the Eid Al Fitr holidays, local media reports.

The Times of Oman reports on Wednesday that 41.6 percent of Omanis visited Salalah between September 10 and 17.

The Khareef Salalah survey by the Ministry of National Economy, Ministry of Tourism and Royal Oman Police, also found that 1,762 people from the UAE and 12,219 from Saudi Arabia visited the area.

Last year, a total of 283,754 tourists visited Salalah, known for its sub-tropical climate.
