Omni Oil Technologies supplies drilling tools

Omni Oil Technologies has recently signed a contract to supply Weatherford International with drilling enhancement tools.

Omni Oil Technologies has recently signed a contract to supply Weatherford International with drilling enhancement tools.

The contract for the supply of tools was signed by Anass Al Chalabi, general manager, Middle East & North Africa, Weatherford, and Mohammad Makhlouf, president, Omni Technologies.

“Weatherford will primarily be served from our new facility in the Dubai Techno Park,” said Hesham Abdel Hai, business development director, Omni. Through this contract, Omni will begin immediately to supply Weatherford with Omni Roller Reamers.

Weatherford is one of the international oilfield service companies in the world, involved in drilling, well completion, and production cycles of oil & gas.

Earlier this year, Omni Oil signed the deal with Techno Park to set up the facility. At the time of the signing, Makhlouf said: “The oil & natural gas industry is undergoing dramatic changes. The sector is demanding specialised products. “Through this facility at the Dubai Techno Park, Omni will be able to penetrate the ‘best product’ domain, and position itself as a quality product provider for the entire industry in the coming decade.”

Makhlouf has reiterated in the past that Omni is a unique venture as it adds the engineering and design ingredient to the Middle East, which was hitherto only a manufacturing base. Omni was one of the first companies to set up an advanced manufacturing centre in the region, where drilling and well completion tools are designed, engineered, and manufactured locally.

Dubai Techno Park is also one of the first technology parks of its kind in the Middle East, servicing the high technology sector in the region.
