Supercar manufacturer says Pagani Zonda F that crashed in Dubai will be rebuilt
Of the 100 Pagani Huayras sold in the world, as many as 20 were sold in the UAE, according to the manufacturers.
Pagani Automobili, the vehicle of choice for the rich and famous, has proven to be popular in the GCC, with many of its rare models ending up in the region.
Speaking at the 85th International Geneva Motor Show, Luca Venturi, communication manager at Pagani Automobili told 7Days newspaper that all 100 of the Pagani Huayras, which were valued at $1.6m each, have been sold.
“We’ve sold all our cars, all 100 [Pagani Huayras], that’s why we’ve had to bring customer cars to exhibit here,” Venturi said, of the car that reaches 100kph in just 3.6 seconds.
“I’d say there are about 15 to 20 in the UAE. Of course, most of the VIPs have a Pagani.”
Venturi said the Pagani Zonda F that was crashed in Downtown Dubai will be rebuilt. Only one of the only 25 in existence, the yellow-coloured vehicle slammed into a concrete plant holder, destroyed the exterior of the $950,000 vehicle.
However, the frame of the car is intact and will be rebuilt, Venturi said.
“The chassis in terms of the tub is perfectly fine. So we will rebuild it. It’s not that difficult because the car is well engineered,” he said.
