Online channel to promote Arab tourism

New internet TV channel begins broadcasting from Abu Dhabi on Tuesday.

An internet TV channel promoting travel and tourism in the Arab world is to begin broadcasting from Abu Dhabi on Tuesday.

Asfar TV Online, billed as the first-ever internet tourism channel, will be launched by Asfar magazine to transmit news, features and interviews under the patronage of the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority.

Asfar publisher Ibrahim Al Dhuhli said the channel would provide a new online media service for the tourism sector.

“The project is not a mere TV channel. It’s a social website for promoting travel and tourism culture in the Arab world,” he said in a statement.
