Canadian software developer Open Text Corporation has appointed systems integrator ITQAN as a prime partner in the UAE, in a bid to provide improved support to corporate clients using its Enterprise Content Management (ECM) software.

Owen Taraniuk, senior VP at Open Text Corporation, said: “Upgrading our partnership with ITQAN represents an essential element of the Middle East business strategy review adopted by Open Text Corporation. Our experience with ITQAN has proven its excellence in adapting our range of solution packages to meet the needs of the local market. We believe that users’ appreciation of our Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions, combined with the good customer relations that distinguish ITQAN, will be of great value to ensuring our success.”

“ITQAN has experience of the local market, in addition to vast resources and capital business infrastructure. These factors prompted us to choose it as a prime partner in the UAE,” he added.

Taraniuk said that the objective of the partnership was to increase business volume for both parties and further enhance the Middle East market with state-of-the-art technology. ITQAN also expects its own products to reach higher levels of quality and value with deeper penetration.

Feras Al Jabi, general manager of ITQAN, Al-Bawardi Computers, stated: “Since ITQAN’s inception, we have been investing considerably to maintain our leading position in integrated IT solutions for corporations, and we are proud to capitalise on the long lasting partnership with Open Text. This partnership will initiate the development of sophisticated and integrated enterprise solutions designed for the Middle East market.”

“The next phase will involve monitoring potential clients that can benefit from our advanced solution packages. We will aim to raise awareness of the business advantages delivered by the sophisticated solutions that ITQAN can provide in cooperation with Open Text,” he concluded.

Canadian provider Open Text was founded in 1991 and operates in 114 countries. ITQAN was established in 1984, employs a 100-strong task force and is entirely nationally owned.
