Official stole $122,966 (RS8.2m) during 2010 to 2012
An official at the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) at the Pakistan Embassy in Kuwait has been accused of embezzling $122,966.
The defendant, which has since gone into hiding, had reportedly stolen the funds during 2010 to 2012, reported Kuwait Times.
His visa has been cancelled by Kuwaiti authorities while his passport remains with the Pakistan Embassy.
A case has been registered against him by the Pakistan Federal Investigation Authority (FIA).
