Abu Dhabi National Hotels CEO says hotel is 85% finished; will be first to launch on Saadiyat Island
Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi will open on October 15, making it the first hotel to launch on the UAE capital's Saadiyat Island development.
Richard Riley, CEO of hotel owner Abu Dhabi National Hotels (ADNH), told Hotelier MiddleEast that the luxury Park Hyatt was “85 percent finished”.
“This one will open on October 15 for sure. I will give the operator their notification on the 14th as per the contract that we will open on October 15,” said Riley in an interview.
He said the resort, which is located on a 9km stretch of environmentally protected, natural sand beach, would be the largest Park Hyatt property in the world with 306 keys.
“There is none bigger, it’s the biggest,” said Riley. “It’s a stunner and the beach is so, so beautiful.”
ADNH is investing AED1 billion in the Park Hyatt property, which will offer a minimum room size of 54 sq m, four private villas and 11 secluded ryads, four F&B outlets, an Atarmia Spa and 1220 sq m of events and meeting space.
“It’s a world class product,” added Riley.
Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel and Villas will be the first of two hotels to be opened by ADNH this year, with the Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi Grand Canal expected to open by the end of 2011.For all the latest travel news from the UAE and Gulf countries, follow us on Twitter and Linkedin, like us on Facebook and subscribe to our YouTube page, which is updated daily.
