Philips unveils new range of appliances

Philips has introduced its latest range of kitchen appliances under the Aluminium Collection brand.

The range, which includes a coffee maker, toaster, juicer, blender and kettle, features an anodised aluminium finish.

According to Tammo de Ligny of Philips Design, anodised aluminium is “hygienic, light yet strong, and resists scratches and finger marks”.

“Consumers place great value on their time, so they want their kitchen appliances to be easy to use and to provide consistent, quality performance,” he added. “With all this in mind, we designed the Aluminium Collection.”

The 1200W toaster features a blue countdown LCD display, a versatile warming rack and extra-wide slot that can accommodate a variety of breads.

The 1.5-litre kettle features an advanced anti-scale filter ensuring the kettle remains clean longer, while the 750W blender features an illuminated multi-speed dial and special buttons for ice crushing and mixing.

The 700W dual-speed juicer boasts a patented micromesh filter and an extra-wide feeding tube that can accommodate whole fruits and vegetables.

Meanwhile, Philips claims the Café Gourmet coffeemaker uses a unique brewing method to ensure top flavour and aroma from processed coffee beans.

“The collection boasts efficient, easy-to-use technology to ensure quality without compromise,” claimed de Ligny.
