11 of the strangest and most frequent items lost in a Dubai nightclub
Societe nightclub has seen everything from glass eyeballs to credit cards left behind by visitors
Nightclubs can be the most entertaining venues – until you lose something. At least one of the people you know has probably lost an item or two at a nightclub, be it a phone, jewellery, or even cash. But owner of Dubai club Societe Gary Holliday says there are stranger things people have left behind at his club in the past 12 months. 1. One glass eyeball left Societe staff astonished as they found it stuffed down the side of a sofa at the venue. 2. A customer who had walked in the club with a walking stick left without it. According to Holliday, “a night of cutting shapes to his favourite retro tunes loosened him up enough to walk home without it.” (Getty Images) 3. One “risqué” corset was found “stuck down the women’s toilet,” says Holliday. (Belen Diaz/AFP/Getty Images) 4. A less surprising item, a pair of glasses, was also found at the venue. As for losing them, we figure it’s easy to do on a crowded dancefloor. (Getty Images for AOC) 6. In addition to the pairs of shoes, 25 other odd shoes were found in Societe. The staff at the club found 147 abandoned gift bags filled with expensive presents such as bracelets and watches as well as less costly items such as chocolates and flowers. In total? 230 mobile phones. 10. Around 322 earrings that were never found in pairs resulted in the club keeping a big bowl of odd earring with no one there to claim them. (Getty Images) 11. A whopping 541 credit cards – probably the worst items to lost anywhere.
