As the weather gets cooler, we can’t help but take our weekend plans outdoor. Here are 5 of our favourite rooftop lounges in Dubai:

40 Kong: Our favourite New York-style rooftop lounge has finally reopened. Located on the 40th floor of the H Hotel, the lounge is cosy and intimate so is great for both couples and groups of friends. It serves snacks and small meals but is priced pretty well for its location, food and service.

Above: Having a close-up view of the Burj Khalifa makes Above in Sofitel Downtown a rooftop lounge to visit during winter months. While it has an indoor area designed in modern all-white décor, we prefer its recently refurbished greenery-filled outdoor terrace with a tranquil – even romantic, vibe.

Pure Sky: It’s not as luxurious as the other options on the list, but Pure Sky lounge boasts excellent sea views. It’s especially pleasant for a breath of fresh air in winter as it is situated on the 35th floor of the Hilton hotel in Jumeirah Beach Residence.

Mercury: It’s the most expensive lounge on the list but it is well worth the visit to the Four Seasons on Jumeirah Beach. We love that the drinks in Mercury are creative and distinct, but we mostly love the music, atmosphere and the city views on one side and sea views on the other.

Al Sarab Rooftop: If you’re looking for a different experience, head to Bab Al Shams and the desert, where Al Sarab Rooftop awaits! This time of year, the weather is just perfect in the evening and promises a cold breeze. For hookah fans, the rooftop also serves a really good shisha.
