A thousand guests attended the desert fashion spectacle revealing the Fashion house’s 2014/15 collection

It took a total of two months to build the oasis which was complete with palm trees, tents, Bedouin cushions and rugs and even henna plants. More elaborate than some recent Chanel cruise show, the collection was modest and respectful of the local customs, with a plethora of layered looks on display. The models’ bouffant hair was adorned with crescent moon brooches and the double C Chanel logo. Today, the brand is hosting an exclusive event for the launch of their latest high jewelllery collection, Les Perles. The luxury fashion house plans to explore its potential with couture in the Middle East by bringing the houte collection to Dubai next year or so.
