Aircraft lands nose first in US

A Southwest Airlines aircraft landed with its nose on the runway after its landing gear collapsed soon after touching down. Landing at LaGuardia Airport in the Queens borough of New York City, the flight originated in Nashville and was carrying 149 passengers and crew, with ten reported to be injured. Travelers were forced to sleep at the airport after a series of flights were cancelled as the result of the unorthodox landing
