Forget the crisp suits and opt for a softer, smoother woven number. This one from Oasis comes with a collarless design and regular fit, making it more comfortable for those flying. Despite its feminine fluted sleeves, the suit remains formal and business-appropriate.

If you don’t want to tire your feet during a long flight, opt for flat mules that are suitable for business. This black leather pair from Phillip Lim is relaxed and comfortable, but still bears a formal look similar to loafers.

More comfortable in skirts as opposed to trousers? We tried this satin midi skirt from Asos and can attest it feels tremendously light. Pair it with a high-neck, conservative top and you’ve got a business-appropriate look.

Choose a tote that’s big enough to hold your documents, but that doesn’t feel heavy on your shoulder. We’re fans of the classic Balenciaga City Tote because it can be carried by hand-braided handles or a detachable shoulder strap.

Why stick to traditional white collar shirts when you can go for colourful ones with a twist. This top from Asos is an off the shoulders twist on your regular shirt. We also like the wrap and bow detail as well as the puff sleeves. Pair it with formal trousers and you’re good to touchdown and head straight to your meetings.

If you want something light and airy, put on a duster coat like this Miss Selfridge number. You can pair it with formal trousers or dark jeans, depending on how casual you can afford to look. We like opting for duster coats in the GCC region because they’re not as heavy as trenches or blazers. This one would also go nicely with a formal dress.

Speaking of dresses, wrap front midi ones are always a go-to for last minute flights or meetings. They’re easy to wear, but also have a formal feel to them when mixed with the right accessories. This Asos piece with frill detail would go well with classic heels and a tote. Add a pearl necklace and red lips for a final touch.

We like these rockstud sandal mules from Valentino because they can go well with formalwear such as smooth suits and culottes. They're also extremely comfortable, making them one of our top choices for travel footwear. The studs add some excitement to business attire that could otherwise be plain.

These frill high waist trousers from Asos were practically made for business flyers. While extremely comfortable thanks to their wide leg design, they’re also light and airy for summer. But best of all, they’re perfect for business. Pair them with a lace top for a more modern look.
