Coming of Age Day celebrated in Japan

Men and women who have turned 20-years-old attended the annual Coming of Age Day ceremony at Cultural Hall in Himeji, Japan. The traditional holiday congratulates and encourages young people who have turned 20 – considered the age of maturity in Japan, when they are legally permitted to vote and smoke, among other activities.
